My long time buddy FJ DeSanto asked me to do a remix for his new music project Trade Secrets. FJ’s other band Hypefactor did an incredible remix for my band Screen Vinyl Image years ago so it was time to return the favor.
Once I organized all of the tracks into a workable file, I spent a morning testing out various ideas which lead to the opening and breakdown pieces. I also came up with a few parameters to work in so I didn’t get too lost, one was only using a set amount of synths and the other was to cut out all the guitars and have the track be all synth based.
I’m really happy with the turnout, I don’t do remixes often, but this is one of my faves I’ve worked on.
