Yeah yeah I know, you’re not supposed to master the stuff you record yourself and admittedly mastering our tracks was kinda tough, however, we were trying to keep a low budget on this release and aside from that I had the grand pleasure of mastering one of my most fave bands in the world, Bloody Knives.
I’m really proud of this split mainly because both of us bands went through a bunch of heavy stuff to get these songs out to the world. From both of us having hard drive crashes, to a flood, to family health stuff, it took us a long time to do this thing, but way back in 2010 when we talked about, we knew we had to deliver.
The Bloody Knives tracks on this split slay like no other, from heavy metal / industrial shoegaze cuts to beautiful ambient moments that remind me a lot of early Warp stuff, I couldn’t be more honored to share a release with these dudes. Oh and I think the SVI tracks turned out good too, we took some familiar roads and the new single is kind of a totally new direction we’ve never done before.
Yet another Accidental Guest recording coming out that I had a blast working on. Pre order the cassette here.
