Haiku Garden contacted me about mastering their new EP. I was excited to not only get an email from a band in Slovenia, but that they sound like a group influenced by bands I grew up listening to, Catherine Wheel and The Kitchens of Distinction. They were fun to work with and I also got the chance to discuss the work with their engineer and talk in depth about not only the recordings, but how we approach working on music in the studio.
It was a great experience to work with Haiku Garden and I am beyond humbled to get some work from the other side of the Atlantic and hope to work with this excellent band again. My personal fave track is Mercury but the whole EP is excellent and the extra treat of the crushing last track is great on headphones or a good loud system.
